Florida Man April 27, 2019 – Attacked Mattress in Jealous Rage
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – Florida man attacked a bedroom mattress with a bedpost believing a man was hiding inside it.
In a Facebook post by The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the girlfriend called on her boyfriend, 37-year-old Felipe Oquendo; who started acting erratically early Friday. She reported that Oquendo thought she was cheating on him with another man. He thought he saw a man in their mattress on their Fort Walton Beach home.
The girlfriend said he started stabbing the mattress with a bedpost, ripped it apart with his hands; and refused to let her leave the bedroom. She managed to escape and immediately called the police.
Oquendo later admitted to having smoked meth. He is charged with domestic violence-related false imprisonment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Florida Man April 27, 2017 – $600,000 Worth of Meth-Covered Pottery
POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Florida man is facing drug charges for allegedly importing $600K worth of meth paste found on vases; which was shipped from Mexico to Florida.
Omar Palencia, 30, had arranged to have the three pieces of meth-covered pottery shipped to his home in Florida. Where he planned to cook the meth out of the pottery and sell it.
The three pieces of meth-covered pottery yield more than 22 pounds of crystal meth. He said the haul would be worth about $600,000, Polk County Sheriff Office reported.
Palencia unknowingly recruited an undercover deputy for help extracting the drugs, which led to his arrest.
“In Mexico, [the pottery pieces] were dipped in liquid methamphetamine, and carefully, they placed small glass squares on the vase to make it appear to be this beautiful pottery,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. “He was, Omar, was looking for someone to convert it out of its current form into a sell-able form; and that’s where our undercover agents came in play.”
Besides the three vases which authorities have estimated equaled about 10 kilos of drugs Palencia also had additional 101 grams of meth paste for “personal use.”
Palencia faces multiple charges including trafficking in meth, possession of a vehicle used to traffic drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Florida Man April 27, 2021 – Smuggled Drugs in Jail with His Prosthetic Legs
PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Keith Adams was arrested trying to smuggle fentanyl and Xanax into jail using his prosthetic leg.
Police pulled over Adam’s vehicle on Saturday; Police claimed that they caught a man sitting atop a pipe that tested positive for cocaine residue. According to a source, the Police “specifically asked before transport to the jail if anything was concealed in his leg, and warned bringing it into the jail would be an additional charge.”
Upon finding the stash, they added two more charges to Adams’ case. He’s now facing three felony charges and a misdemeanor; in addition to his other two narcotics cases that are currently pending.
